During your initial consultation with a plastic surgeon, you will be asked the areas of your concern. The contour threads are barbed sutures that are placed in the areas to be corrected. The number of threads used will vary depending upon the areas to be improved. The procedure can be performed in the privacy of our fully accredited operating room.. The doctor will administer a small amount of local anesthesia to the areas being treated. Very small incisions are made in the hair line where the threads are introduced. These barbed sutures grab hold of the tissues beneath the skin. After placing the threads the surgeon massages the skin and tissues into place. This is a fairly quick procedure and you are able to go home immediately.

Contour Threadlift is a great alternative for the person who could use a small amount of lift for a more youthful look, but is not yet ready for a facelift. The threads are permanent and can be added to in future years as you age. They do not interfere with more aggressive procedures, such as a facelift, should this be desirable years down the road.
